About the event
The 25th Festival of the Third Age is the largest event for older people in Europe. It was established in 1999 on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, on the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.
In 2026, the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary, opening the doors of the cultural and congress centre Cankarjev domfree of charge to visitors for three days, from September 29 to October 1, 2026.
From the very beginning, the festival has been dedicated to active ageing, improving the quality of life of older people, and strengthening solidarity between generations. For this reason, the entire programme takes place under the slogan: “We Are All One Generation.”
Check out the rich program, attend and find yourself a hobby, social events and meet other people and stay active and productive.
